Talania if you're really intent on doing this more than once I would recommend a tablet =P

Ok I tried to take on board some of these advices. I changed the Garter into stockings because that is easier. Tried to change some hair shape and one of the arms...I dunno....and facial shape. I also added some eyebrows but personally I think she looks better without them...same with a nose I dont really want her to have one lol.

Oh and ofcourse...more shinies

btw what tablet would you recommend?

I made a new picture if you guys want to see and tell me all the bad things would be nice

I think I've gone all weird on the right arm again

I invested in a graphics tablet so hopefully this will be an improvement anyways here it is.

both arms are a bit wonky to me.
im also getting the impression that her thigh starts where the knee should. i think if you'd like to show off the thigh more, make the skirt a lil shorter (just a hair under where the apron stops) and poof it out more. like shes got crinoline under.
Maybe a lil more hip to her?

Keep drawing! practice makes perfect. Doing random figure sketches without detail helps me out with poses a great deal. i hate drawing people :P I'm axious to see more progress with your new toy

Procrastinating on my AH paper.

Anyways, I'd suggest picking up a book or finding pictures on human anatomy. Really take the time to study how the muscles and bones move, and also how they compare in length in comparison to the rest of the body.

At the moment, the anatomy is off at a lot of places. When it comes to a situation like this, it's best to lay down your foundation (anatomical outline) properly and then gradually add on the details such as clothes/skin/hair/etc. If you jump into the fine details first and then try to figure out proportions, you're going to waste an awful amount of time trying to correct all the mistakes which could easily be avoided at the start.

As a total newbie to human anatomy, I know exactly how you feel. I am no expert yet but what I find that's really helpful is looking for references for your poses and also tutorials

*sifts through her tutorial collection*

Here's one I have for anatomy:

And graphics tablet is a great investment. I've never drawn this much since I got one.

Keep practicing!

Thank you I appreciate all your help, I have to confess I'm embarrassed to say I was actually doing the construction process first with a stick figure and then the sausages and it seemed fine to me on paper but things became more apparently wrong as I started coloring and adding details.

The graphics tablet is omg I do not believe how much easier to do stuff wow so much funner

So thanks again guys for taking the time to post and giving me the link for the anatomy tutorial. I love you lots like jelly tots.

I recommend you instead of doing one piece with very detailed clothing and such, do alot of quick anatomy drawing and such, then you will progress quicker imo. Keep on working! Only way to reach the top.

I would also recommend more realistic drawing (naked humans and the underlying shapes that involve them) as a first step too. This thread helps illustrate my point:

If you are interested in pdfs of art books I can refer you to some.
